Dear Mr. Farrell,

I am currently working with a group of other postgraduate students on the topic of retrofitting green roofs as part of a business planning exercise for our MSc course – Environmental Technology, at the Imperial College. We are devising a business plan on the possibility of retrofitting extensive recycled green roofs to the commercial buildings of London potentially on a modular leasehold basis.

As part of our project development and final report we would be very interested to find out further information on the potential of green roofs and possible future plans for developing this industry in London. We were wondering if as part of the Mayor of London's strategy, there was any particular focus on green roof development.

We found the report “Design for Biodiversity”. We were wondering if you could suggest any other sources of information on possible London strategy? Contact details of representatives in the Mayor of London team on this particular topic? Or any more useful information regarding the topic of green roofs?

I thank you in advance for your help and look forward to hearing from you soon,

Yours Faithfully,
David O’Shea

Michelle - you'll need to contact the organisers via the email address shown. I can't make it - but hope you enjoy it. You might also be interested in the DIY workshops we're running.

This sounds an excellently well executed seminar. I do trust I can get a booking for myself and my contractor.

How are you,

Loved the step-bystep guide to greening a shed roof. What do you do if there is already a gutter in place? I have a shed that I want to green but I'm stymied as to how I get the run-off into the gutter without destroying the sedum layer. Its also corrugated. Would appreciate any advice
